0There are several reasons why someone might wish to know about the industrial
scene in a city they are thinking about moving to. Industry has several positive
connotations, including job creation and contributions to the local economy
and its services. On the other hand, some industries are known for decreasing
the quality of life in the cities in which they are located. Let's take
a look at some of the pieces of the industrial picture in the city of Hialeah
Florida.
To begin, it is worth noting that there are few locations as prime as Hialeah
when it comes to industry in Florida. The city has a willing labor market composed
largely of citizens who are unlikely to seek union representation in the near
future. It is also located in the middle of Dade country, with access to all
of the major transportation routes in the Florida area. That means quick and
easy shipping for manufactured products, whether we are talking joists or fabricated
strainers.
That means manufacturing does enjoy a strong presence within Hialeah city limits.
Included among the businesses of the area is the Taurus Company, which invents,
manufactures, and sells a wide range of firearms for an international market.
Companies such as Taurus in turn provide markets for other businesses. In fact,
business to business transactions are more important on the economic level than
business to consumer transactions. A company which makes tamper evident band
devices and other security equipment is vital to a company such as Taurus, which
must meet safety regulations from both the governmental and consumer viewpoint.
On the high tech and communications side of the industrial equation, Hialeah
can boast of the presence of the station Telemundo. The headquarters of this,
the second largest Spanish network in the United States, is located in Hialeah
in large part due to the large Hispanic and Latino population of the city. It's
an ideal place to find work for a PCB designer, a professional journalist, and
a wide range of other professionals.
With its location on one of Florida's most pristine prairie/flood plains,
Hialeah is also a major force as far as agriculture is concerned. The outlying
areas are ideal test markets for biosolids application and other major strides
within the agricultural industries. They are also known to produce a wide range
of agricultural products, from mangoes to oranges and other tropical crops.
And, of course, Hialeah enjoys its share of industries which operate on a local
scale. Construction companies continue to do well in the area, in large part
due to the ever growing population. In turn, the retailers which provide cord
grips, hammers, and other supplies to these companies also do well.
All in all, the advantageous position and reliable labor market of Hialeah
have combined to make the industrial picture of the city quite diverse.
