A Home Versus A Condo Or Loft

Looking at different pieces of Hialeah real estate but not quite sure what to buy? There are a lot of choices open to you. Should you purchase a nice condo in the city, a stand alone home in the downtown area, or a house in the suburbs? Your choices will be dictated by a few different factors, which we will explore below.

Lifestyle

Different types of homes are suitable to different lifestyles. For example, you may prefer a busier lifestyle. You like the idea of being close to the action, whether you are in Hialeah or Toronto. Townhome living may suit you simply because those homes are close to the heart of the city, so you can catch a movie, a meal, or a production at any time.

Similarly, a condo or a loft would also suit this kind of lifestyle. Life out in the 'burbs means that you have to devote a significant portion of your time to travel. A city like Hialeah, with over 200,000 people, means dealing with a lot of traffic every time you drive in. True, Hialeah rushes are nothing like those endured by people with downtown Toronto homes, but it can eat up the hours nonetheless. With a home in town, condo, loft or single family, you don't have to worry about leaving an hour early to get to an event on time.

Space

One of the biggest mitigating factors in the search for any type of home is just how much space you will need. The first thing to consider, of course, is family size. A couple with three kids can't expect to move from their piece of Georgetown Ontario real estate and settle into a Hialeah condo comfortably. You will need just as much space, if not more, for a family that is growing in numbers and in stature. While three or even four may fit into a condo or townhome nicely, it's not going to work for many more!

Even those without children do have to consider the space they need for living somewhat. Loft conversions became popular because they offer more open spaces within small units for those who need them. Artists and bohemians in particular are attracted to this type of living space, as it offers more free flow within the living arrangements.

Location

Finally, and most importantly when it comes to real estate, you need to consider where it is you would like to live. King West condos in Toronto are simply not suitable for a couple with a child in school, as there are no schools nearby. The same type of thing should be looked at in Hialeah. Are all the amenities vital to your family within easy reach? A lot of the time, the only options for families who want their kids in good schools are stand alone homes in the suburbs.

The criteria for deciding between housing styles is the same whether we are talking Hialeah or Leslieville. Lofts, condos, and stand alone homes are all on the market, but one type probably suits you more than others.
